Because this is fort building for grown-ups with the child-like whimsy needed to make this playful horror story work. The product description should say that clearly.

Amazon version is a burned copy. Verified Purchase. Super movie. I have been wanting to buy it since I watched it through the Netflix DVD service yes, that still exists.
I saw the price drop and snatched this up. The version for sale here at Amazon is an Amazon manufactured-on-demand disc, meaning it's a BD-recordable disc, with all the longevity issues that come with that.
The product description should say that clearly. You can buy a proper pressed copy with nicer packaging and more bonus features directly from the creators of the movie.
Highly recommend. Looks like it. What should I do if I think it starts a little shallow and "not good quirky" feeling, or hate ALL of the people except the cameraman?
Please wait it out. Will I start to not think the actors are all very frustrated people? Wait like just slightly longer.
It looks fun and oddly beautiful to have made? Yah that helps. Is the comedy the point, or is this is some masterful use of multiple synchronistic change patterns--in the way characters, set, dialogue pattern, and mood can all change at the same time or serially--to give you some really rapid depth?
And neither. Final answer. I liked it. Administrative details: Meera Rohit Kumbhani is the reason to watch this flick. She plays her character perfectly, and she's beautiful on a whole other level.
Also, it's nice to see Dr. Venture getting some work. Review: Imagine "House of Leaves" if it didn't take itself seriously and didn't completely suck.
That is this movie. Some random slob makes a magical labyrinth while his girlfriend is away, and she's responsible for leading the mission to save him.
His goofy friends get themselves involved. There's plenty of gore, but trust me on this, you will not have to avert your eyes.
Everything about it is masterful, and you should watch it even if it sounds like something you hate. Four stars because it just didn't quite resonate with me.
Absent Kumbhani, I probably would have bailed before the first ten minutes were up. But, at the end of the day, if you stick it out and don't end up enjoying it, then you should probably see if Silicon Valley has come up with a fun-co-processor that you can have installed in your brain.
Because this is fort building for grown-ups with the child-like whimsy needed to make this playful horror story work. Finally, a film on Prime that richly deserves five stars In a world in which movie budgets spiral towards a billion dollars, whilst originality and magic suffer an inversely proportional decline, Dave Made A Maze is a refreshing respite from the norm.
It's also funny, the acting is solid enough to carry the script, and doesn't concern itself with explaining that which is clearly nonsensical; just suspend disbelief and go with it.
This may just be the best film of the last ten years - possibly of all time. If you feel the need to see something completely different from the normal seen-it-all-before, this is a real breath of fresh air.
The script is clunky at times, and it follows that the acting can be a bit wooden. It's not even that all the ideas come off, but the fun and creativity more than cover any cracks, especially the effects when people get bunked off!
Lovely to see so many origamists getting employment! Nothing more that needs to be said really.
Mere words do not do it justice. The most fiercely and unapologetically imaginative and creative film I've seen in years. I'd give it stars if I could.
Watch it and judge for yourself. This was probably one of the most interesting and clever films I've seen in a while. Well thought through, different and funny.
I watched this with my teenage daughter who also loved it. One person found this helpful. Some of it makes no sense and some is very relatable, love it!
Brilliant, funny and inventive. Thoroughly recommended. What indie film should be. A very strange premise kept engaging throughout by a likeable cast.
